This is a website intended to be friendly, simple, easy to use and informal but with a serious purpose. This Frequently Asked Questions page is just another way of helping to clarify understanding in how things work.

How do I get invited to advertise a business?

Requests can be made via the website form or via email. Each business owner will be known to Michael the website owner. Either as a personal customer, by personal recommendation of friends, family, members of the general public, something highlighted or other personal contact. The overriding factor linking it all will be that Michael will personally speak with each of the business owners or decision makers direct. The deciding factor is on quality, not speed or quantity as in the number of businesses. 

Once invited to advertise what options do I have?

Options For Business Owners:

1.   Yes to advert and Yes to optional quote when any contract(s) due

2.   Yes to quote when any contract(s) due. No to advert

3.   No to quote when any contract(s) due. Yes to advert

4.     No quote when any contract(s) due. No to advert

Business Owner provides relevant dates and contacted near contract end dates.

Can I have my business featured? 

Each County will have a featured village and featured town. This will be on a first come first served basis. Featured business status will change from time to time subject to certain predetermined criteria.

A testimonial page is also being developed. Businesses can also be highlighted by giving a short testimonial. This may be before or after quotation.  

What is the Featured Advert criteria?

A business taking any optional services or product will take precedence over a business that does not. A business that elects for a product or quotation when contract due will take precedence over one that does not.

Are there any future plans?

Future plans include featured articles. These may relate to particular locations or feature personal stories of small business owners to offer some inspiration to others.

What is the contact procedure once invited?

A business owner will be contacted and invited to be part of the project and to view the website.
If the invitation is well received a draft advert specific to their business may wherever possible be prepared in advance.

An agreed email will be sent to the business owner with details.

Confirm Receipt Of Email 
Business owners are asked to confirm email receipt to ensure it has not gone astray. If after two days there is no acknowledgement the business owner will be contacted by telephone to confirm receipt.

Decision
A reply is requested of the business owner decision maker with a decision as soon as possible and preferably within 7 days by choosing Options 1, 2, 3 or 4.

If after confirmation of the first email nothing is heard then further follow up will be made. 

Will I be chased with emails and phone calls?

No. Absolutely not. I personally guarantee it. Time is precious and life too short. This is something that is intended to benefit business owners. It is entirely up to them. They either appreciate the benefits and what they can gain or they don´t.

If I do decide to have a quote do I have to accept it?

No. You will be directed wherever possible to a website where you will input the information directly yourself. You then decide if it is good value. Nothing happens unless agreed by you.

What if I don´t want an optional quote?

Absolutely no problem but why would you not want to have a free optional quote for something that might save your business money or provide greater value?

If I have a quote and it is lower what is to stop me going back to my present company to equal it?

Nothing. However is this the right thing to do? Why should you remain loyal to your present company for charging you a higher price all this time? You could have been paying less and saving money and they did not tell you!!! Business owners intending to do this to obtain a quote and taking this action should choose option 4. Remember also that in some industries price is not the only factor but best value even if prices are slightly higher. 

If taking up the optional offers is there any guarantee about savings?

No guarantees can be given about savings and past savings are no indicator of future savings. However what can be said is that Michael will do his best for you. At one time he obtained a quote for one licensee that saved the licensee so much money that it meant the profit on 1650 pints of beer. 1650 pints of beer that he, the licensee and his staff did not have to pull just to pay (in this case) his electricity bill.

What things can I get optional quotes for?

These vary depending on location. Businesses can initially supply their contract end dates for electricity and/or gas and they will be contacted near the date. We also have residential services available which may be of interest.

Remember that some quotes are not advertised and not available on any comparison websites. All low cost and great value.

If I was interested in a quote, with or without an advert, what else could I have?

Again depending on location. Solar Power, Merchant Services (credit card processing), Security Systems, Communications and Insurance. We also have gifts suitable for rewarding staff and travel.

What do I need to do when I am contacted with an invite and agree to receive an informational email?

Basically just reply. Firstly acknowledge receipt and then reply.

It is the polite and courteous thing to do.
